Real Madrid’s win over Atletico Madrid was overshadowed by some abhorrent racist chanting aimed at Vinicius Jr earlier than the match.

Chants of ‘Vinicius is a monkey’ have been heard from a big number of Atletico supporters outdoors the Wanda Metropolitano as Real Madrid’s workforce bus arrived at the bottom.

This comes simply days after the Brazilian said he had been a victim of xenophobia.

There was an outpouring of help for Vinicius Jr when he was told to ‘stop playing the monkey’ by President of the Association of Spanish Agents, Pedro Bravo, who was commenting on Vinicius Jr’s dances after scoring for Madrid.
