Ice apple is a pure cooler and helps to keep body temperature. It is principally a fruit of sugar palm tree, which acts a coolant. It is a summer season fruit present in coastal areas of India, recognized in several names throughout the completely different areas as nungu in Tamil Nadu, tadgola in Maharashtra, taal in West Bengal and thaati nungu in Karnataka. Ice apple recipes
2 cups boiled milk
¼ cup sugar
12 blanched almonds
Few strands of saffron (non-compulsory)
1. Peel the pores and skin of nungu/ice apples. Cut them into small desired shapes and preserve them apart.
2. Now take blanched almonds and cardamom and mix it in mixer right into a clean paste.
3. Now add the sleek paste to milk and cook dinner it over a low flame till it thickens.
4. Now add sugar and blend nicely, and preserve stiring on low flame for about 3-4 minutes.
5. Remove from warmth and permit it to cool utterly.
6. Add the chopped nungu/ice apples and blend nicely. 7. Refrigerate it till prepared to serve.
8. Serve chill with saffron strands added on top.
