The Bono Regional Minister, Ms Justina Owusu-Banahene says domestic flight operations are set to resume at the (*19*) Airport on Monday, September 19, 2022. 

She said the re-opening of the service would open up the area for speedy financial progress.  

The Regional Minister introduced this at the meet-the-press sequence in Accra. 

She said Passion Air would start air transport services between (*19*) and Accra and that plans had been made upfront to fly 4 instances every week. 

The (*19*) airport was, on August 3, 2022, commissioned by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo after the completion of the primary part of rehabilitation after six years of closure. 

The operation, she confused, would stimulate the financial progress potential of the area by means of enhance in commerce and investments and cut back highway journey time from about eight hours to about an hour. 

On highway infrastructure, she said the Government had constructed 13 highway initiatives with a complete size of 342.3km. 

Some of the initiatives are the upgrading of 30km menji-bui highway, upgrading of 10 km Nkrankwanta-Krasse Road and 15 km Brekum-Drobo. 

She said the Government had constructed a brand new transport terminal, police put up, ambulance bay, fireplace put up, and provided and put in electrical energy. 

On health, Ms Owusu-Banahene said the Government had made vital strides within the sector. 

She said the doctor to affected person ratio improved to 1: 10395 in 2021 from 1:14898 in 2016. 

The midwife to girls in fertility ratio age in 2021 was 1:372 in contrast to 1:1502 in 2016.
