Livestream: PM Express discusses strikes in the education sector

The education sector of the country is currently at a standstill as lecturers in public kindergarten, main, JHS, SHS, and college are all on strike for varied causes.

GNAT, NAGRAT and CCT are currently on strike over the appointment of Dr. Eric Nkansah as the new Director-General of the Ghana Education Service.

The University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) is currently on strike over the non-payment of some allowances owed to them.

A strike motion is being threatened additionally by the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) and the Colleges of Education Non-Teaching Staff Association of Ghana (CENTSAG) over what they are saying is unfair treatment to a few of its members.

PM Express will tonight have a dialog surrounding these strike actions and what government can do to repair the challenges in the education sector.
