HSF Executive Director presenting the items to Nursing Officer, Nana Boakye Yiadom
The items which have been donated on Wednesday, September 21 embrace grownup diapers, liquid soaps, rest room rolls, bins of soaps, cleansing detergents, baggage of rice, washing powders, toothbrushes, toothpaste, amongst others.
The donation follows the Foundation’s enquiry weeks in the past from the Psychiatric Hospital about some items wanted to take care of the sufferers.
Presenting the items to the Hospital, the Executive Director and Founder of the Foundation, James Mawuli Gawu, said the Foundation is happy to assist younger adults and children battling psychological health.
He expressed confidence within the nurses and physicians at the Hospital and inspired them to use the items for his or her proper functions.
“It [the donation] is something that we are doing as a testament and our acknowledgement that these people are bonafide members of our society that we respect and care for very much and for whom we can support as much as we can for their well-being.
“We believe there are competent nurses, psychologists and psychiatrists who believe in our vision, believe that we are doing something right by supporting this unit and, therefore, we want to ask calmly and in the firm belief that these items will truly go the patients and people here for their well-being,” he said.
