Bibiani teachers embark on sit-down strike over recent ‘shit-bombing’

The workers of Bibiani Old Town Nzongo Primary and JHS embarked on a sit-down strike on Tuesday over the poor hygienic situation on the school’s premises.

In recent occasions, there have been data of yet-to-be-identified individuals invading the school for his or her unlawful activities together with smoking and ‘shit-bombing’.

According to the authorities, the residents have turned the school right into a ‘wee base’.

With their pleas and warnings falling on deaf ears, the school authorities staged the sober protest to voice their anger.

Some students, talking to Adom News’ Augustine Boah, said the scent from the latrines and faeces smeared on their marker boards, tables and chairs exposes them to diseases.

They have subsequently appealed to the authorities to put in place stringent punishment for perpetrators.

The Assembly member of the electoral area, Abdallah Mohammed, admitted the issue and despatched a agency warning to perpetrators of the act to be very cautious as a result of anybody who will be caught within the act can be used as scapegoat.
