A local high school student has been awarded a prestigious national award for academic excellence.
John Smith, a senior at Central High School, was recently presented with the National Academic Excellence Award from the National Association of Secondary School Principals. The award is given to students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and leadership in their school and community.
John has been a standout student since he began attending Central High School four years ago. He has consistently earned top grades in all of his classes and has been involved in numerous extracurricular activities. He is a member of the National Honor Society, the school’s debate team, and the student council. He also volunteers at a local animal shelter and is an active member of his church youth group.
John’s teachers and peers have praised him for his hard work and dedication to his studies.
